Glendale Foods has gone live with Solarsoft’s Tropos ERP software to streamline operations and improve stock control.
The firm required a new system to accommodate recent growth and acquisitions. There was no integration between systems and many processes were paper-based.
Tropos was chosen because it is a specialist ERP solution for the food industry, that provides “out of the box” functionality.
Paul Burkitt, managing director, said: “It would have taken us another 12 to 18 months to develop the same level of functionality in SAP or a similar “generic” ERP offering… Everything is located in a central location, giving us easy access to all necessary data including accurate product costings and real-time details on stock levels.”
Glendale processes foods for manufacturers and ready meal suppliers and produces brands such as Yankee snacks, The Great British Pudding Company and Unique Cuisine.
