Paragon Software Systems has improved its route optimisation software, with an enhanced Multi Period Planner module which will allow multiple frequency deliveries to be more efficient.
Phil Ingham, Paragon support director, said: “The software’s optimisation algorithm has been significantly improved to allow better planning for multi-frequency deliveries using customer locations, quantities and service requirements.
“These improvements also take into account road networks and travel times. Our users will benefit from reduced transport costs, improved driver productivity and reduced overall mileage as a result of more efficient planning.”
The system can plan delivery routes and schedules for periods of up to six weeks, and caters for fixed and variable delivery patterns.
