Mothercare has chosen Torex Merchandise Planning to model its global expansion over the next 3-5 years’ and provide detailed information to pass on to its manufacturing partners to plan future capacity.
The retailer has been expanding in international markets, including India and China, over the past few year and plans to use the Torex system to enable its manufacturing partners can continue to support its growth.
It reckons that implementing the full Torex Merchandise Planning system will improve the merchandising process for Mothercare and The Early Learning Centre by replacing a number of legacy systems.
Mothercare will now be able to accurately plan long-term capacity, ensuring that manufacturers can support forecast growth, which in turn will allow the retailer to provide a consistent product range across all of its channels and international franchises.
