JLT Mobile Computers has launched the jFlex in-cab computer, part of its Flexible Fixed range, that can be detached from its mountings and used as a handheld device.
The computer is built and tested to IP65, operates in temperatures from -30 C to + 55 C and is resistant to vibration. It has an Intel Atom 1.6 GHz processor and supports a range of operating systems including Windows 7, Windows XP and Linux.
It can also be used by the operator as a PC, which JLYT reckons will encourage the user to take more care of the equipment, which should reduce the need for servicing and cut repair costs.
