Norwegian oil group Statoil has chosen logistics specialist Asco for a £1.1m contract covering transport and handling of all pipelines from Leith to Haugaland Næringspark in Norway for its Gudrun development in the North Sea.
Work is expected to commence in February 2012, and the project will be managed by an Asco team at a site just north of Stavanger.
Runar Hatletvedt, Asco’s managing director northern Europe, said: “ASCO has a wealth of experience in delivering a safe, collaborative and on-time specialist oil and gas logistics service in some of the most challenging environments across Norway and around the world. We look forward to using this experience to support Statoil in the efficient delivery of its Gudrun project in 2012.”
