P&O Ferrymasters reckons it has justified the cost of its investment in Quintiq’s Planning Solution in the first six months of operation.
The systems introduced centralised planning across 13 countries, where a single view of operations is helping P&O Ferrymasters to identify opportunities to achieve return loads between countries.
The carrier has also been able to extend the concept to “triangulate” the movement of freight across more than two countries, taking into account compatibility of loads and routes with different hauliers and different trailers or units.
