Capgemini has launched a range of supply chain management services, under the heading of Business Process Outsourcing.
The services are intended to leverage the group’s existing supply chain strategy and consulting practice, its global process model, and its dedicated centre of excellence.
Capgemini’s Annual third party logistics survey shows that 42 per cent of logistics expenditure among shippers who use 3PL services is on outsourcing and this is predicted to rise.
The company says business process outsourcing is one of the fastest growing business units and supply chain management is key element to its long term growth plan.
The new services will consolidate existing expertise, tools and processes to manage and optimize all facets of enterprise supply chains. There are three key new services: order management and fulfilment; logistics management; and sustainability services.
