Jackson takes transport role at Culina
Culina has hired Euan Jackson to take over as group transport director from 1st December. He is joining from Samworth Brothers Distribution where he most recently held the role of interim Managing Director.
He will work with Mick McCarron, transport director, who will now focus primarily on chilled operations, and he will report to chief executive Thomas van Mourik. Before joining Samworth, Jackson held a number of senior posts within Wincanton.
Haigh joins APL Logistics
APL Logistics has appointed Simon Haigh European account manager. He is tasked with developing supply chain solutions for a major retail customer and supporting the client’s strategic growth plans. Haigh joins APL Logistics with more than 25 years of international shipping and logistics experience.
Transport solicitor promotion
A transport solicitor, Lucy Wood, at Nottingham law firm Rothera Dowson has been promoted to associate. Wood has spent five years with the transport department, which is described by the Legal 500 guide as “probably the most experienced in the country”.
MIQ hires Hanley
MIQ Logistics has hired David Hanley as director business development, and is charged with winning new business, and strategic account development. Hanley was previously senior director of business development for FreightWatch International, and was chief executive of Triangle Services prior to its acquisition by Ryder Integrated Logistics.
