Saga Shipping has awarded a warehousing and distribution contract to Seafield Logistics to support the consolidation of products for a cruise ship re-fit in Italy.
The ship has 720 rooms and will require products ranging from ceiling lights and fabrics to beds and furniture all of which will be stored at the Aylesham depot before being distributed to Italy.
A procurement team has been set up to deal with the new fitments for the ship and a small number of telephone orders will be handled by the UK distributor, who will also be responsible for advising on stock receipts and customer service calls.
