Creed Foodservice has signed a five year contract for Microlise’s Fleet performance and journey management system.
Operations director Philip de Ternant said: “Based upon our strong environmental and sustainability vision, we have a clear set of objectives to reduce our environmental impact by ensuring our fleet is being operated as efficiently and economically as possible. Microlise have demonstrated a suite of solutions and services which we believe will help us deliver these goals in the coming months”.
The company operates a fleet of 62 multi-temperature vehicles from four depots in Cheltenham and Ilkeston.
It will use Microlise’s driving style monitoring system which uses vehicle telematics data, transmitted in real-time via Microlise’s MTU3 Telematics device, coupled with a driving style reporting suite, to help improve driver performance.
And it is also taking a sub-set of Microlise’s journey management package, including a new driver communications module (DCM4), which is a 7 inch touch screen tablet, including messaging, trip information and integrated truck navigation all being implemented with a view to making the driver’s day more easy and reducing management effort.
