Logistics technology provider Descartes Systems has acquired InterCommIT, a Dutch provider of business-to-business and integration-as-a-service software to strengthen its global presence and leadership position.
Descartes expects the purchase to boost its network capabilities and improve supplier enablement as well as adding suppliers, retailers and financial institutions to its global multi-modal logistics community.
It also hopes to enhance key B2B applications including e-invoicing, e-document, e-catalogue and Web EDI solutions.
