Portugese parcel delivery company Rangel Express has invested in proof of delivery software from Zetes in order to expand its business and improve visibility and reliability.
The Zetes system scans parcels at all stages from initial receipt, despatch to distribution, and final delivery to the customer. It streamlines picking and provides real-time data capture, full traceability of parcels and drivers, as well as more flexible service for customers.
More than 180 drivers working from eight distribution centres are now equipped with mobile PDAs that provide detailed instructions about items to be collected and onward deliveries.
Associated business units Rangel Expresso, Rangel Pharma and Rangel International Sea and Freight will be equipped with this new solution in the next few months.
