Tachographs and plans for European transport networks are top of the agenda when EU transport ministers meet on Monday (12th December).
The council of ministers could reach a partial general approach to updating the current regulation for new technological solutions and reducing administrative burdens related to tachographs.
Ministers will also be looking to reach a political agreement on the establishment of a single European railway area.
EU guidelines for the development of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) will also be up for discussion, following the adoptin of a proposal for a new regulation by the European Commission in October.
The proposal contains the definition of comprehensive and core network, as well the timing for completion and maps of the different axes.
