Birmingham City Council are to push with the release of a 175-acre employment site from the green belt in Sutton Coldfield next week.
The use of the 175-acre Peddimore site, near Minworth, for employment was outlined in the local authority’s Birmingham Development Plan in April 2016 when it was given the go-ahead by the planning inspector.
The council is expected to give to approve funding to cover the costs of preparing appraisal options for the development of the site which is seen as vital if the council is to meet demands for the provision of employment land to 2030.
A preferred option will be presented to the council in April and it is expected that the site could be marketed as soon as May 2017.
