Huge Ford order for MANFord Motor Company is switching to a fleet of 370 MAN six by two tractor units. Half the vehicles are now joining the fleet on five year leases, while a change of equipment package means a further 185 units will be delivered in 2013 to replace the fleet.
The MAN TGX tractors will go into operation at Ford’s transport operations facilities in Dagenham, Halewood, Bridgend and Southampton. They will be used to move engines, gearboxes and components in the UK. It has been using MAN vehicles at its German headquarters in Cologne for some time.
In total, the order comprises 370 vehicles making it one of the biggest received by MAN Truck & Bus in Great Britain in recent years.

MAN Truck & Bus put together an attractive package that met Ford’s requirements. Ford has seven major facilities and over 550 dealerships in the UK Vehicles, engines, gearboxes, parts and components are manufactured at various plants.
