The North West Aerospace Alliance has hired Carole Stewart as skills coordinator and Kristian Samways as innovation coordinator for the Aerospace Supply Chain Excellence programme, a £11.4 million scheme which aims to deliver around 400 new jobs and more than £100million additional GVA to the North West regional economy.
Stewart joins from the NHS and has a wide range of experience in different industries including manufacturing in both the private and public sectors.
Samways will coordinate innovation and collaborative improvement projects in close conjunction with academics and supply chain companies. She has a background in IT and aerospace, and while at BAE Systems worked on the Typhoon and Jaguar programmes.
