Online fashion retailer ASOS has appointed Allport as its international logistics and supply chain manager.
The contract begins in April. As well as making use of Allport’s freight services from the Far East, Indian Sub Continent, Americas and Australasia, ASOS will deploy the forwarder’s LIMA (Logistics Information Management Application) software to provide visibility across its international supply chain.

ASOS’s international business has been growing rapidly. In June, it reported that international retail sales were up 142 per cent on the year while UK sales were up a more modest 25 per cent.
It has web sites targeting the UK, USA, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Australia and also ships to over 190 other countries from its central distribution centre in the UK.
Allport director Clyde Buntrock said: “We are delighted to be working with one of the UK’s fastest growing and innovative brands and this business award is testament to our passion for retail supply chain management excellence.”
