The £400 million HelioSlough strategic rail freight interchange scheme in Radlett, Hertfordshire is at the centre of a political storm about lobbying, following the revelation that Transport Minister Theresa Villiers had a private lunch with a public affairs consultant who was acting for developers.
It is thought that the proposals were discussed at some length during the course of the lunch.
St Albans MP Anne Main found out about the lunch and has brought up the matter in Parliament. The decision whether or not to allow a 3 million sq ft SRFI to go ahead in Radlett, Hertfordshire has been delayed again this time from 5 April to 13 June this year.
