Culina Logistics has won back Gü Desserts, a previous customer, with a collaborative distribution proposal for chilled warehousing and distribution.
This operates between the Gü facility at Walthamstow and the Culina distribution centre at Haverhill and includes an efficient picking and product coding process.
The operations are designed to provide maximum flexibility until the latest possible point in the supply chain process.
“Culina was able to demonstrate the various positive opportunities available in the re-design of the previous operation during the tender,” said Simon Grant, supply chain manager at Gü Desserts.
“Culina also carried out the implementation in a professional and knowledgeable manner, transferring to the new ways of working while ensuring there was no impact on service levels to our customers. Our quality products require a quality, yet flexible, supply chain solution and we believe this partnership will ensure we are able to concentrate on our own strategy for growth.”
