Now is your chance to test yourself against the best in the European Supply Chain Excellence Awards 2012.
And the Hi Tech, Communications and Electronics sector provides a serious test of excellence, being one of the most fiercely contested categories in the competition.
Last year, it was a struggle for the judges to separate the four finalists.
All four shortlisted entries were strong. The entry from IBM centred on its Magellan supply chain transformation projects in the CEE and MEA markets where six key order-to-cash processes and 940 activities were aligned.
20:20 Mobile Group uses KPIs group level to promote the cross-fertilisation of resources and ideas throughout its territories. The judges felt that 20:20 had used the supply chain well to transform its business.
In 2010, Virgin Media had very nearly won the category. And in 2011 the entry was even stronger.

Last year saw the completion of its Velocity transformation programme. The initiative has transformed the supply chain, reducing inventory while driving up operational efficiency and customer service – all achieved through the creation of a new NDC that now brings together distinct supply chains for set top boxes, network equipment, mobile phones and cable into one integrated network.
The judges said: “Virgin Media’s ability to provide significant supply chain support to a rapidly growing business, and the way in which it is able to react with agility to changing demand, makes it a deserving winner.”
This year it could be you.
Entry into the Awards is free – the deadline is Friday 8th June 2012.
