Pallet-Track, a freight logistics business based in Wolverhampton, is planning to take on hundreds of staff as part of an expansion plan.
It plans to expand into Europe in the next two years, and to double its workforce over the next five years.
The network currently has 75 UK depots and employs 1,800 staff in its freight operations with a combined turnover in excess of £50 million.
Founder and managing director Nigel Parkes, said: We bucked the trend in the UK during the recession and from 2008 to 2009 we grew by 14 per cent. I know we could do the same in Europe once the conditions are right for entry into that market.”
“Last year we invested £1.1m in buying a fleet of 40 custom-made forklift trucks for the distribution centre from Linde Creighton,” said Parkes.
