Trinity Mirror, which publishes the Daily and Sunday Mirror, has renewed its contract with Ceva Logistics for a further five years.
Ceva will be responsible for the distribution of national titles from Trinity Mirror’s print centres in Watford and Oldham to the company’s wholesale customer base across England and Wales.
The publisher has been using Ceva for the past ten years. The operator is responsible for around 33,000 deliveries of the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror to Trinity Mirror’s wholesaler network each year.
In the UK, CEVA is one of the market leaders in publishing and media logistics for the newspaper, book, printing, stationery, paper and packaging industries. CEVA delivers over 20,000 tons of newsprint per week, 364 days a year, to over 100 wholesalers nationwide.
“By identifying significant improvement opportunities in Trinity Mirror’s supply chain we aim to optimise operational solutions further and reduce delivery costs for this important and long-standing customer,” said Jon Evans, Ceva’s senior general manager, business development, Consumer, Retail and Media.
