Unite members at Swissport Cargo Services at Heathrow are to go on strike on Wednesday, 27th June in support of a pay claim.
Thje union is planning two three day strikes with the second starting on 4th July. The union has 275 members at Swissport and says it could affect flights by Singapore and Korean airlines.
* Unite has created a war chest of £25 million to fund strike action, general secretary Len McCluskey told delegates at the union’s biennial policy conference in Brighton on Monday (25th June), describing it as “another clear sign that this union means business”.
McCluskey set out a “new leverage strategy” of hitting employers all the way up and down their supply chain and their customer chain.
