Food distributor 3663 has halved the intake rejection rate at its Swithenbank fresh and fine foods centres, since implementing Greenlight Quality Control software from Muddy Boots.
The Swithenbank operation installed the software in order to electronically record the receipt of goods and grade the quality of products via a traffic light system.
It also reduces waste and has established a unified understanding of our QC standards amongst all of our suppliers.
Hilary Owen, 3663 quality assurance executive, said: “Members of staff are now able to use a robust handheld device, which is compatible with tough warehouse conditions, to automatically capture data, without the need to duplicate information. This has dramatically reduced the time we spend on reporting and has significantly improved the availability of information for the business.”
