Unipart has appointed John Neill as chairman of its board, succeeding Lord Sheppard of Didgemere, who has retired from the role after serving as non-executive Chairman for 16 years.

Neill was previously deputy chairman of the board and will continue in his role as Unipart group chief executive.
He is also non-executive Director of Rolls-Royce and was previously a director of the Bank of England and a non-executive director of the Royal Mail and Charter International.
