Jiffy Packaging, part of Pregis Protective Packaging Europe, has launched a range of sustainable packaging called Earth Aware range.
Jiffy reckons using Earth Aware packaging reduces at least 700kg per trailer load for size 1 DVD mailers and a 44 per cent increase in volume per pallet. For the smaller, specially-designed CD mailers, two full trailer loads of bundles can carry the same amount of product as three loads of mailers packed in cartons.
The new Jiffy pack eliminated corrugated card, and features an inner bubble layer that is laminated to the outer kraft paper and has a PE coating. This gives it the rigidity to enable the bundles to be stacked vertically on a pallet.
