DHL Global Forwarding has opened a new Automotive Competence Centre in São Paulo, Brazil, to handle some 2,000 shipments each month.
The centre manages all DHL’s automotive activities for the local market. It offers value-added logistics solutions including air freight, ocean freight, and purchase order management for clients in the Brazilian automotive industry.
Volker Oesau, chief executive Middle & Southern Europe and global automotive sponsor, DHL global forwarding, said: “By linking our Automotive Competence Centre here in Brazil with our global network of dedicated automotive logistics experts, we are well positioned to bring value to our customers in this dynamic industry.”
DHL already has seven competence centres, especially in markets in developing countries.
