The Landmark Group, which owns retail brands such as Babyshop, Centerpoint, eMax, Home Center, Lifestyle, Shoe Mart, and Splash selected Oracle Retail to modernise its merchandising and warehouse management IT systems in order to support business growth.
“As an organisation we are reliant upon our information systems to support our business activities from merchandising through to HR”, said Kirit Shah, chief information officer.
“For us to perform, we need all of these systems to be joined up. With our commitment to continued growth, it became apparent that we needed to automate the applications and exchange information through our business processes.”
Landmark Group implemented the UC4 automation platform to handle core business activities including purchasing, warehouse management, and stores replenishment.
UC4 ensures accurate and timely execution of IT tasks by removing errors, reducing latency and minimising risk in critical business processes. In addition, unique process templates reduce Oracle Retail deployment timescales.
Landmark Group has integrated systems spanning Oracle Retail, Oracle E-Business Suite, Brio and legacy systems with the UC4 platform. End users benefit from receiving timely and accurate sales performance and forecasting reports.
“When we acquired UC4, we were planning to use it to support our Oracle Retail implementation” said Shah.” However, we quickly found out that the UC4 platform could help us make our current infrastructure more integrated and agile.”
Landmark reckons the new system saves each of its administrators three hours of work per day, as well as extending the return on legacy IT investments.
