It is leasing the building from the Airport Property Partnership, the joint venture formed between SEGRO and Aviva Investors.
The retailer is expanding its M-local convenience store format in London. It started trials of the format at sites in Ilkley, Wilmslow, and Manchester last year. Wincanton won the logistics contract for the London operation last month.

Ian Henderson, Wincanton’s group property director, said: “The Centra facility provides us with a strategic location close to Heathrow Airport from which to run a busy supply chain logistics operation. Closely working with the SEGRO team has enabled us to find an ideal facility in this part of West London.”
Alan Holland, director of APP and SEGRO’s business unit director for Greater London, said: “We’re very pleased to secure a further letting to Wincanton who are an important customer to us. The size of this deal demonstrates that even in these difficult markets there is demand for APP’s strategically well located industrial assets. Heathrow is a significant market for the fund and we are delighted to secure Wincanton at Centra.”
