Descartes Systems has bought Exentra Transport Solutions, a UK-based provider of software-as-a-service driver compliance solutions for £10.7 million.
Exentra’s cloud-based compliance management platform, Smartanalysis, manages tachograph data from customers’ vehicles.
Thousands of Exentra’s UK routeing-centric customers will join Descartes’ Logistics Technology Platform, where more than 35,000 trading partners collaborate to improve logistics operations.
Clearwater Corporate Finance advised Exentra on the deal.
