Brose, the automotive product supplier, has awarded a three year deal to Gefco to establish a new freight flow from Brose’s production facility in Coventry to a customer in Redditch.
Gefco will initially use its own fleet, and as volumes grow, Gefco will provide dedicated vehicles in the Brose livery to transport the company’s product.
Wayne Holt, group leader of logistics at Brose, said: “With this contract, we are looking to develop a successful long term partnership with a logistics supplier, and we believe the flexibility of Gefco’s offering will meet both our immediate and longer term needs – allowing us to run our business at optimum efficiency, particularly during the initial stages of the new venture.”
Gefco already provides transport services to its Coventry production facility.
Brose is a four billion euro German owned business operating in 23countries.
