Partnerlink, the distribution company owned by a group of regional operators, has expanded its service offering with the launch of Partnerlink Europe.
Initially it is operating between the UK and France, Germany, Holland, Belgium and Italy, with services for the rest of Europe soon to follow. It said that all partners were family owned, transport companies that were well established in their own country.
Partnerlink director John Davidson said: “Partners can offer a next day solution to anywhere in the UK, all at competitive prices, and with a quality service that our customers demand. It was only logical for Partnerlink to mirror this same success and branch its services out to the European market.”

The turnover of Partnerlink Europe members total some €500 million. There are 5,000 employees, 3,800 trailers and 750,000 sq m of warehousing space.
Davidson said: “We now need to offer a great service across the whole of Europe, and it can’t be done on your own. All of the European partners have solutions within their own countries and some feed into networks like Partnerlink UK. When we are all linked by direct trunks to each depot, there’s nothing that we cannot do.”
