Husqvarna, which makes power tools, has extended its contract with Neovia, formerly known as Caterpillar Logistics Services.
The relationship between Neovia and Husqvarna began in 1997 with an agreement to provide warehousing, special services, transport administration, VAT and intrastate reporting services in the 18,000 square metre distribution centre at Metz in France.
The new agreement extends this relationship into 2016. Neovia said this would enable it to align better its logistics services to Husqvarna’s business.
The Husqvarna Group is the world’s largest producer of outdoor power products including chainsaws, trimmers, lawn mowers and garden tractors. It is also the European leader in consumer watering products and one of the world leaders in cutting equipment and diamond tools for the construction and stone industries.
“We are very happy to sign with Neovia as a business partner,” said Peter Fischer, general manager of Husqvarna. “Husqvarna Group aims to provide excellent service to our customers which means products are delivered quickly and accurately. Our business is quite complex so to do this at a reasonable cost is a challenge to logistics firms. Neovia was the best choice among many.”
