French yoghurt manufacturer Yoplait has extended its logistics contract with NFT for a further three years.
NFT manages some 84 lines of Yoplait’s product which comes in from France to NFT’s depot in Daventry. This equates to about 500,000 cases going through the Daventry warehouse each week.
Flore Belbis, logistics director at Yoplait said: “NFT has demonstrated its commitment to Yoplait and we are very satisfied with the service that they’ve delivered. They have listened to our needs and provided a solution that is effective both in terms of cost and resource. NFT handles storage and distribution and is also responsible for packing and boxing of products to meet UK packaging requirements. It then delivers order to all the major UK retailers as well as the countries local convenience stores. From receipt of orders to delivery, can take between 12 and 24 hours to complete.
Since December 2010, Yoplait has made use of NFT’s customer portal, which enables customers to monitor the order at each stage of the supply chain, from when it is receipted, through the picking process in the depot, during transit and finally when the delivery is received and ready to invoice.
