Conveyor manufacturer Sovex has won its first order in China after opening a sales office in Shanghai in December.
The £64,000 order is for two telescopic vehicle loaders to TNT Hoau’s distribution centre in Xiamen, China. The equipment will be installed in January and is expected to halve the time it takes to load parcels into vehicles for distribution across China.
Managing director David Lindfield said: “Opening a sales office in China was a big and exciting step for Sovex and I’m delighted to say that it’s already paid dividends because there’s nothing better than having someone down on the ground to broker a deal like this.”
