DSV Air & Sea has launched its own courier and express service, DSV Xpress.
“Instead of having to use one company for sea and air and others for road, warehousing and courier, we can now offer a single point of contact for all logistics services,” said Martin Rutter who will lead DSV XPress in the UK.
The services are aimed at customers who request same-day or next-day delivery of anything from bulky shipments to documents, and will include online pricing enquiries, booking, track & trace, POD and invoicing.
The price of a service is flexible, depending on the urgency of the shipment.
Rutter said DSV’s buying power and economies of scale would enable it to offer very competitive terms.
Although the service is new to the UK and Sweden, it has operated for twenty years in Germany. It is also available in Denmark and The Netherlands.
