Dunelm, the homewares and soft furnishings store, has awarded Lloyd Fraser a five year contract to distribute products to its UK stores.
Lloyd Fraser is providing transport services from the Dunelm Mill DC at Stoke. Dunelm operates 123 out-of-town superstores and nine high street sites.
Lloyd Fraser operations director, Mike Faye, said: “This is very much a target market for the Lloyd Fraser Group, and our success in winning this contract reflects our desire to provide the highest quality logistics services at competitive rates.”
Dunelm was founded in 1979 as a market stall business, selling ready-made curtains. The first high street shop was opened in Leicester in 1984. The first superstore opened in 1991.
Lloyd Fraser generates some £50m revenue, with 20 sites across the UK employing 500 people and operating in excess of 500 vehicles.
