Sandown Park will be the place to be as leading suppliers show off the latest in IT systems and materials handling equipment at the Logistics Link South exhibition.
Logistics Link South returns to Sandown Park on 12-13 February with hundreds of cutting edge software systems and new equipment on display with leading companies covering all areas of logistics.
There will also be many live demonstrations taking place both on stands and in the live demo arenas. All of this will mean visitors can compare the latest products and solutions and see for themselves how they can be used to optimise their operations.
Exhibitors include UK and international market leaders in warehouse, supply chain and transport IT software and systems, materials handling equipment, safety products and services, packaging, palletising, building services and a whole lot more.
There will be plenty of live demonstrations throughout the Show including Jungheinrich displaying their range of warehouse equipment, Flexi-Narrow Aisle showing visitors how to maximise space in their warehouse as well as materials handling solutions from companies such as BS Handling Systems and much, much more.
As well as this there will be fascinating insight in the free seminar sessions covering topics including “The Modern Connected Warehouse”, “Integrated Delivery Management for Complex Logistics”, “Making Strategy Pay” and more – sessions are being announced all the time.

Jungheinrich at the show
Jungheinrich offers more than 600 variants of material handling equipment including pallet trucks, electric forklifts, reach trucks, gas & diesel counterbalances, order pickers, and very narrow aisle trucks. The company has just started production of a range of 6-9 tonne capacity ic-engine counterbalanced trucks – marking its move into the heavy segment of the forklift truck market. The diesel- and LPG-powered forklifts – designated the DFG/TFG Range 6 – will be built at the factory at Moosburg, Germany.
Enhanced warehouse performance
Access Delta is showcasing its warehouse performance system, featuring new and enhanced pick and pack, voice handling, courier management, KPI features and the distinctive Access Delta graphical warehouse map. Access recently integrated Access Delta with its financial solution Access Dimensions offering improved performance and efficiency. Access Delta claims the largest percentage of 3PL clients of any WMS technology supplier, and is now part of Access Group. Following the recent launch of its cloud product, Access now offers WMS users a new range of SaaS-delivered solutions including expenses, document management, and invoice processing.
FLTA to host stand
The Fork Lift Truck Association will be hosting a stand to meet truck owners and operators, and to help them optimise operations by running their trucks more safely and more efficiently. “This is a great opportunity for people to come and speak to us and see how their organisation would benefit from signing up as Safe Users,” said FLTA chief executive Peter Harvey. The FLTA’s Safe User Group provides clear, concise information on all aspects of legislation and best practice for directors, managers and supervisors. FLTA technical manager, Owen Delaney, will be on hand to answer questions from fork truck users.

Latest ePOD app from OBS
OBS Logistics will be showcasing its newly-released ePOD app for smart phones at Logistics Link South. The demonstration, at the OBS Logistics stand 166, will highlight the user-friendly features of this comprehensive ePOD system on a tablet device, including signature capture, bar code scanning and photo capture. Mobile technology convergence is making it much easier and more cost-effective to deploy powerful logistics solutions on Android and iOS platforms; flexible, usage based pricing will make them an attractive proposition for automating service and delivery operations. The app is available now and can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. iPad reporting tool
Snapfulfil SaaS WMS will be launching and demonstrating its new “Mobile Manager” reporting tool. This is designed to be deployed from an iPad (or other tablets later in 2013) and allows the data from the warehouse management system to be interrogated while on the move around the warehouse, or even remotely. Each reporting Pod can be interrogated in a variety of ways, with graphs, charts and other easy to view options.
Technology on show
Warehouse automation specialist, KNAPP, will be at the show to explain the benefits of its OSR Shuttle storage and retrieval system and its new, Pick-it-Easy Pocket solution for multichannel distribution. Pick-it-Easy Pocket allows efficient batch picking of items such as flat-packed clothes, shoes, books and DVDs into a series of hanging pockets and then sortation of these goods – together with any hanging garments – so that they arrive at the packing stations in the correct sequence.

Seminar: RFID – the time is right
This Inotec presentation with live demonstrations and case studies, looks at how RFID can be used successfully in warehouse and logistics applications. Seminar: Click-ON Logistics
Supply chain consultant Kevin Zwolinski will share an insight into a methodology developed in collaboration with a former FTSE 100 main board executive which addresses the divide of business strategy and day to day operations. Too often these are disconnected, leading to all sorts of problems, resulting in poor business performance and failure to deliver “on strategy.” He will share the key steps of the Making Strategy Pay methodology, and then provide some examples of how it has been applied in practice.
