Ecolab, which makes chemical and medical products, has awarded a chemicals contract to Norbert Dentressangle.
The contract will see Dentressangle’s TOP Tier COMAH Euroterminal site at Trafford Park, Manchester, used for the storage of up to 12,000 pallets of Ecolab products as well as acting as a national hub in the distribution of products throughout the UK.
Dentressangle will be in charge of receiving 1,900 pallets and picking up and despatching up to 1,600 deliveries each week, all from Ecolab’s UK manufacturing facility and its European distribution centre in Belgium.
Joachim Giesler, Ecolab’s director, warehousing EMEA said: “This is a natural extension of our existing relationship with Norbert Dentressangle. Their understanding of our business, their willingness to invest to support us and their ability to help us consolidate our warehousing operations, in an extremely modern environment, in the right place, at the right price, were all factors in our decision to award the new contract.”
Dentressangle already handles UK distribution of both bulk and packaged chemicals and the cleaning and reconditioning of IBCs for Ecolab.
To accommodate the contract and meet increased demand for hazardous goods warehousing, Dentressangle has made a multi-million pound investment to extend and upgrade its Euroterminal site.
This investment includes a new MHRA licensed area for the storage of up to 6,000 pallets of Ecolab’s medical and pharmaceutical products.
