Rochester-based R Swain Group has added 20 DAF six by two tractor units to its fleet and expects to bring in more vehicles at the end of the year.
Fleet & workshop general manager Peter Ham said: “Business is booming right across our operational portfolio. Fleet utilisation currently stands at 97 per cent – and that means we’ll be on the truck acquisition trail again at the end of the year.”
The CF 460 FTG Space Cabs units have been in service for four months and are returning an average of 9.1mpg on mixed work.
Swain operates 320 trucks from depots in Rochester, Manchester and Woodville near Burton-on-Trent.
