Kuehne + Nagel’s parts contract with commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco has been extended for another three years.
Kuehne + Nagel manages five regional spare parts distribution centres around Europe for the commercial vehicles and buses manufacturer as part of its service contract.
The deal includes goods-receiving, storage, picking & packing and distribution, as well as the handling of returns, encompassing re-packing and re-labelling.
Kuehne + Nagel also offers the overnight distribution of spare parts via its European specialised automotive distribution network.
A further element to the company’s logistics offering is the integration in the internal preparation cycle of the thermic treatment process for wooden packages for extra-Europe destination shipments.
It says that this makes savings in terms of time and cost reduction as it eliminates further operating charges, such as double handling, and reduces order cycle timing.
