Seafield Logistics has won a three year contract with Tata Chemicals which will see the company take charge of all of Tata’s UK, central Europe and rest of the world deliveries.
From the operation at Winsford, Cheshire, Seafield provides a warehousing and distribution service, delivering both bagged and bulk products to the market leader of soda ash, sodium bicarbonate and salt’s customers.
The new contract has created around 40 additional jobs at Winsford, including drivers who have transferred to Seafield from previous providers.
Seafield managing director Mark Strong said: “We are delighted to be enjoying such an opportunity to demonstrate our capabilities as a 4PL provider managing a wide range of logistic elements.”
A partnership between Seafield and Agility Logistics was formed to manage the distribution of the rest of the rest of the world deliveries.
