Goodman has begun construction of a new logistics centre for Daimler AG in Bremen, Germany, which will be used to assist the production supply of the Mercedes Benz C and other models produced in the city.
The 33,000 sq m facility, to be known as Goodman Interlink Bremen, is being developed on disused land and will serve as a drive-in warehouse to enhance the logistics of Daimler’s production process.
Located near the company’s existing 46,000 sq m warehouse, it will be used for storing structural pressed parts, such as wings and bonnets, which will be delivered to the site from the internal press plant and various suppliers to then, in turn, be transported to the nearby production facility in line with demand.
The new facility is also close to the A1 motorway and the inland waterways via Fuldahafen.
