Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management has been chosen by Italian retailer Unicoop Firenze to streamline its store and inventory operations.
Unicoop is Italy’s largest co-operative retailer and operates more than 100 hypermarkets, supermarkets and stores across seven provinces. The company’s use of Oracle’s services aims to achieve greater control over store assets by unifying all processes within a common solution.
Completion of the store roll-out is due in September 2013, but Unicoop has claimed it is already seeing benefits of the more efficient inventory management processes, such as reduced shrinkage, improved margins and more accurate store inventory visibility.
“We are committed to providing the best possible customer experience, and it was key our store and inventory processes be optimised in support of this goal,” said Riccardo Rapi, chief information officer, Unicoop Firenze.
