Chess Logistics Technology has completed installation of a warehouse management system for Kuehne + Nagel, which is being used to manage storage and distribution of food products on behalf of Spirit Pub Company.
Kuehne + Nagel provides contract logistics services to Spirit Pub and carries out operations at two multi-temperature depots, which have a total combined space of 18,000m2, in Greenford and Trafford Park, Manchester.
The Chess system forms part of an integrated ordering and logistics execution solution, and is responsible for the creation of supplier purchase orders and the capture, processing and invoicing of sales orders.
It also interfaces with vehicle-based delivery solutions installed in the Kuehne + Nagel 60-vehicle distribution fleet.
