Kuehne + Nagel and VTG, the wagon hire and rail logistics company have set out plans to merge parts of their rail logistics activities.
The merger will extend the 20-year partnership VTG and Kuehne + Nagel have shared through their joint venture, Transpetrol.
It will expand the two partners’ present rail activities, hoping to strengthen their market position in the European rail logistics business, with a joint coverage area ranging from all over Europe, into Russia and Turkey.
The final contracts are expected for the second half of 2013.
