Gazeley is expanding its Magna Park site in the Kassel Freight Village in Germany. It plans to develop 50,000 sq m of build to suit warehouses south of its existing development.
Current occupiers include end-users and logistics service providers from the automotive sector or the solar industry. The overall rented space developed by Gazeley at Magna Park Kassel adds up to more than 182.000 sq m.
Kassel is well located for logistics activities being five hours drive from Germany’s major metropolitan areas.
Kathrin Laurier of the Northern Hessen Development Agency, said: In the past ten years the logistics sector of the region has accounted for more than 7,000 additional jobs. The current land expansion underlines the ranking of the Kassel area as one of the most coveted German and European logistics locations.”
