Yusen Logistics has won a contract with Portchester-based SMR Automotive Mirrors UK, the supplier of door mirrors for the Jaguar XK and new F-Type.
Based at Yusen’s Tamworth automotive centre, the company will now be responsible for SMR’s tailored sub assembly and sequence picking service, as well as deliveries into plant on a just-in-time basis.
With complete IT visibility being an essential feature for SMR, Yusen’s system provides stock traceability and alert messaging in real time for the sequence picking and despatch operation.
