Colin Moody has replaced Peter Brown as managing director at East Yorkshire-based Neill & Brown Global Logistics.
Carl Andrew will also take on the role of logistics director and John Brown, director of health, safety and quality is to retire after more than 40 years.
Peter Brown, who has been working at the family business since 1965, will now take on the role of chief executive officer.
Moody began his career at Neill & Brown in 1981 as an office junior, and recently held the position of logistics director.
He said: “The business has become very fast moving with new and existing customers exploring many new markets.
“As managing director, it is my job to ensure that we make the most of these opportunities and keep pace with developments in IT to stay one step ahead of our competitors.”
