Tuffnells Parcels Express has awarded its nationwide delivery fleet renewal contract to Ryder.
Ryder is providing 25 32-tonne DAF FA85 Series drawbar vehicles and 11 28-tonne DAF FT85 Series tractor units on contract hire to Tuffnells’ national trunking fleet.
The deal follows Ryder’s supply of 100 7.5-tonne DAF trucks to Tuffnells on contract hire in 2012 to provide nationwide support for its local delivery network
Graham Hollingdrake, operations director at Tuffnells, said: “We run an extremely demanding parcel delivery operation with 30 depots throughout the UK and Ireland. This extensive resource enables Tuffnells to offer a comprehensive range of guaranteed delivery services.
“The existing 7.5-tonne vehicle fleet replacement contract with Ryder provides uniquely specified vehicles in line with the demands of our local radial delivery service.”
Tuffnells is an independently owned British company specialising in next day business to business delivery throughout the UK.
